Tuesday 9-7 Students will understand general routines and procedures of our classroom.
Wednesday 9-8 Students will understand what respect is and what it looks like in our classroom
Thursday 9-9 Students will understand what the Pledge of Allegiance means and the history behind the changes.
Friday 9-10 Students will understand how the themes of geography can be used to learn about or compare different areas on earth. Students will be able to classify traits of themes into their respective themes.
Monday 9-13 Students will be able to identify locations using coordinates. Students will be able to label a map with general attributes.
Tuesday 9-14 Students will begin to learn the names and locations of our 50 states and capitals. Students will be able to identify locations using coordinates.
Wednesday 9-15 Students will understand the first interaction between the Spanish and the native population (Arawaks) in the New World. Students will be able to identify factual information and bigger concepts from a reading.
Thursday 9-16 Continue from yesterday. Students will be able to identify major New World explorers, their nationalities and “discoveries.”
